Sicilian lemons bring new flavour to Gordon’s Gin

Diageo is embracing the craze for flavoured gin by adding another variant to its portfolio in the UK, made with Sicilian lemons.

With a faint yellow-green hue, it is produced using the gin’s original botanical recipe, balanced by the Mediterranean twist of the natural lemon juice.

Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Distilled Gin has ABV of 37.5% in line with the rest of the range. It is recommended for the perfect serve with tonic over ice with a squeezed lemon wheel.

The launch, in time for the spring and summer, follows the success of Gordon’s Premium Pink Gin, introduced in 2017, which is embellished with natural flavours of raspberries and strawberries.

The brand’s range also includes Gordon’s With a Spot of Elderflower and the classic Gordon’s Sloe Gin.

“We have spent a long time crafting Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Distilled Gin to ensure we deliver the perfect balance of flavours. The result is an outstandingly zesty gin which delivers a zesty twist for consumers seeking new ways to enjoy their favourite G&T.

“Following the amazing response to Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin, we aim to continue to engage the interest of current gin drinkers and recruit a new audience into the category with our new innovation.”

According to the brand’s tasting notes, complex flavours of zesty Sicilian lemons are balanced perfectly with Gordon’s original botanicals and peppery juniper berries to deliver a crisp, citrus taste.
